In May 2014 three very rare and sought-after watch of the A. Lange & Söhne manufacture were auctioned at Christie’s.
A sale for refined collectors
The auction called “Important Watches” was held in Geneva and ended with very good results. Three exceptional watches were sold: a LANGE 1A with a guilloche dial; a very rare LANGE 1 in steel and an exceptional timepiece Tourbillon “Pour le Mérite” in white gold and black dial.
The LANGE 1 in stainless steel was delivered to its new owner for a total amount of € 82,150. The precious timepiece LANGE 1A found a buyer for a price of € 41,100 due to its special serial number 100/100. The Tourbillon has meanwhile broke all records with a sale amounting to € 359,000. This timepiece is ranked among the best A.Lange & Söhne’s auctions.
