The Ecole Boulle, a prestigious European art and design school, and the Swiss Manufacture Vacheron Constantin are proud to announce their association in a long term partnership dedicated to preservation and development of fine crafts, their excellence and creativity.
The Manufacture Vacheron Constantin, the oldest watchmaking manufacture in the world created more than 260 years ago, has always been related to the art and culture world. The Ecole Boulle, founded in 1886, is one of the most important French training center for art and design craft. These two institutions, which share the same values, presented the program “Métiers d’Art et Design: échange d’expertise et de compétence” (Artistic crafts and design: sharing expertise and competence), which will continue until 2017.
This project, based on the transmission of know-how, the respect of crafts and innovation, will give the opportunity to 45 students to propose on the one hand luxury presentation boxes for Haute Horlogerie watches and on the other hand visuals of watch dials from the Métiers d’Art Fabuleux Ornements collection. These designs will be revealed to Vacheron Constantin and then produced in the Manufacture workshops.
This partnership is part of the Vacheron Constantin Institute for Human Capital and Crafts Development, which mission is to perpetuate the skills and guarantee a careful follow-up of the work of the men and women dedicated to the Manufacture, which make it for more than 260 years one of the most beautiful haute horlogerie Manufacture.
