David Beckham is the new face of the Breitling Unitime chronographic watch
The independent Swiss watchmaker Breitling recently launched a new promotional campaign led by David Beckham. Chosen as the face of Breitling’s Transocean Chronograph Unitime watch, the footballer and fashion icon has been “a long-time admirer” of the brand.
A “natural” partnership between Breitling watches and the footballer
David Beckham describes Breitling as being able to “create not only the highest-performance watches but also timeless designs that have inspired generations”. It is therefore perfectly natural for him to be associated with the brand and Breitling’s Transocean Chronograph Unitime watch, which was unveiled in the spring of 2012.
The Unitime chronograph watch: a travel symbol
Breitling’s Unitime watch has always been linked to aviation and travel. The brand has created several timepieces for travellers, such as the Unitime of the 1950s and 60s. The Transocean Chronograph Unitime returns once more to the principles of the travellers’ watch with the new Breitling Manufacture Calibre B05, having a patented mechanism and a double disc which displays the hour in 24 time zones.
