An off-road diver
The first model unveiled at the Swiss show this year is the Prospex Kinetic Diver GMT model with a new case, a kinetic electro-mechanical movement and a second time zone. The Prospex line is an abbreviation of the term “professional specification”. It consists mainly in sports watches that can adapt to a variety of activities on earth, in the air or under water.
The Prospex line was previously only available in Japan but will soon be sold worldwide. In the tradition of diving watches, the new Prospex Kinetic Diver GMT is equipped with a double box called “tuna” by collectors. This timepiece has a total diameter of 47.5 mm and a skeleton case revealing its internal mechanics. Tested up to 200 meters, the GMT Diver Seiko has also a sapphire glass with anti-reflect treatment.
Three versions of the Prospex Kinetic watch will be launched on the market: the SUN019, SUN021 and SUN023. Each of them is using the 5M85 Kinetic movement with GMT function and time.
