Richard Mille presented the  tourbillon chronograph split RM 056 Sapphire three years ago has a new step in the technical watchmakers success: a very complex case made of sapphire has been machined for the first time to include a caliber. This timepiece allowed the creation of the RM 56-01 which went even further by including more components such as sapphire plate, center bridges and third wheel.

One of the most incredible achievements in watchmaking transparency will be presented to the Watches & Wonders of Hong Kong show: the Tourbillon RM 56-02 Sapphire. The mechanical architecture of the RM 27-01 model  Rafael Nadal and his movement secured by cables, are at the origin of this new model.

The grade 5 platinum of the RM 56-02 is completely suspended in the heart of a sapphire case.  A single braided cable 0.35 mm thick, is fixed by 4 anchored pulleys  at the ends of movement, complete with 6 others on the periphery. The voltage is controlled by a ratchet placed at 9.  The whole mechanic is connected to an independent indicator located under the index placed at 12.

RM 56-02 has allowed Richard Mille engineers to integrate more sapphire components by adding a barrel bridge, center and a tourbillon bridge.

This new limited edition will produce only 10 pieces.
