The A. Lange & Söhne manufacture has long distinguished itself by its moon phase watches ever more precise. The new GRAND LANGE I PHASES OF THE MOON is the perfect example of this quest for accuracy : it manages to reproduce the lunar month with an accuracy of 99.998%.

 The factory went further this year with the launch of the RICHARD LANGE PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Terraluna”. This timepiece achieved incomparable precision due to an improved display orbital phases of the moon. It shows the constellation of the moon relative to the Earth and the Sun.

 We today present you five models with moon phases of the collection A. Lange & Söhne that were photographed on celestial maps “Harmonia Macrocosmica” of the mathematician and cartographer Andreas Cellarius. These photographs reveal backgrounds and highlight portrays the world of these timepieces and as well the very special connexion between watchmaking and astronomy.

RICHARD LANGE PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Terraluna” watch is a symbol of innovation and watchmaking precision. This timepiece is inspired by research conducted by the Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe (1546-1601) who changed our view of the universe with the invention of the telescope.
