A few weeks ago, we revealed the new collection: Chanel J12 – 365.
Today, we look back at the latest models of the Parisian brand unveiled at Baselworld 2014.
The “Première” collection
Chanel unveils new watches of the Première collection, after having been awarded at the last Grand
Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2012 for the First Flying Tourbillon model.
The Première timepiece is distinguished by a contemporary design and a strong identity. It has been
released in 1987 and created for women, by the artistic director Jacques Helleu.
Its octagonal shape is inspired by the famous N°5 fragrance and by the legendary Place Vendôme,
where Chanel holds a store dedicated to High watchmaking.
Chanel has chosen to produce 14 versions of its Premiere watch in order to celebrate the arrival of
this new model: steel, mother of pearl dial, set, chain bracelet, yellow gold or white gold.
There is something for everyone!
The new Première Double Tour watch holds a quartz movement and is also supplemented by a
“Triple Tour” variation with a steel strap.
This strap recalls the chains of the famous “Tomboy” bag of the brand.
The price of this watchmaking jewel goes from € 3,350 for the simplest model to € 140,000 for the
diamond snow watch.
The masterpieces of the “Mademoiselle Privé” collection
Crafted watches were everywhere at the last International Salon of Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in
Geneva. We can notice that they have made a comeback in the recent years.
The dials are equipped with a refined decor and are worked by watchmaking craftsmen.
The “Mademoiselle Privé” collection revisits the world of Gabrielle Chanel, by affixing to each dial the
symbols dear to Mademoiselle Chanel.
The most famous enamellists, setters, carvers or engravers contributed with their expertise to write
a new page in the singular history of Chanel brand.
Last year, Miss Camellia Private Embroidered model has also won the award in the Crafts category at
the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).
Five new models were revealed at Baselworld 2014. We present them below.
