Aviation has been for a long time a part of the tradition of Longines creations. The brand returns today to airmen models, by re-editing an iconic model: the Heritage watch.
A model developed for the first time in 1935 for the Czechoslovakian Army, but which makes a comeback this year and now also for the big audience!
Robustness and reliability
The Heritage watch was especially praised, at its first edition in 1935, for its unbreakable glass movement, offering a perfect readability of the time. Faithful to the models made for Aviation, the matt black dial of the watch is particular, with its large white Arabic numerals coated with Super- LumiNova.
This coating is also present on skeletons rhodium sandblasted hands, which can help the reading. The steel case of the Longines Heritage 1935 measures 42 mm. It is cushion-shaped and has a very graceful fluted crown.
Despite its high technological performance, the functions of this model are nevertheless simple, with a small seconds and date window, positioned at 6 o’clock.
We can see its slightly curved shape, highlighting its powerful and original look. It perfectly remains the old model. The watch is equipped with an automatic caliber L615 with 42 hours of power reserve.
Longines brand is based in Saint- Imier in Switzerland since 1832. It is a watch brand that has continued to renew their creations, while respecting know-how and tradition.
The elegance of their timepieces is perfectly reflected in this new edition of the Legacy 1935 watch, which had a great success at the last BaselWorld show.
