Three years after introducing a tribute to the Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin 1931 watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils today a second version in rose gold, embellished with a magnificent chocolate brown dial.

Back to the Reverso roots

The Reverso finds its roots in the 1930s polo game tradition and has been presented in many forms and variations over the years. On its 80th anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre has chosen to return to its original shape by presenting the Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin Tribute to 1931, inspired by the historical model. As the previous timepiece, the “ultra-thin” dial contains exactly the words “traditional”…

The new Reverso Ultra-Thin tribute to 1931

After issuing in 2012 and 2013 two different watches: the Grande Reverso Red et the Grande Reverso Duoface Blue, we discover this year a brand new version of the historical Reverso dedicated to Art deco and vintage design.

One of the similarities that can be noticed between the old and the new model are the small subsidiary seconds located at the lower half of the dial. Minutes around the dial and indexes are also really similar to those of the 1934 vintage timepiece.

Another technical performance is that Jaeger-LeCoultre has managed to maintain a height of 7.3 mm on the dial which includes the in-house caliber 822/2 measuring only 2.95mm.

The bracelet was made by Casa Fagliano built since 1892 in the capital of Polo game, Buenos Aires. This partnership has strongly intensified the relationship between the Polo game and the Reverso watch.
