Founded in 2011 by three friends, French watchmaker fob Paris offers an alternative approach to traditional watchmaking by reinventing a timeless object, the pocket watch. Aurélien Caron, Laurent Aziz and Sari Hijji, the brand creators and exclusive designers all studied engineering. Friends for more than ten years, the three men always loved to create together.

Around the pocket watch, core product and brand symbol, fob Paris creates a range of accessories such as leather or metal cuffs, necklace and pendants… to which combine the fob Paris watches. “We conceive our watches both as real watchmaking pieces and fashion accessories. Through our creations, what we propose is a different way to appropriate and wear watchmaking” explains Sari Hijji.

fob Paris divides its offer in a trilogy, three collections telling a same story and evolving in an enigmatic universe. The first collection Rehab, commercialized since 2012, refers to the origin of the brand which rehabilitated the pocket watch to make it a modern and precious fashion accessory. This collection is composed of different 40 and 50 mm pocket watches models in steel and noble metal such as rose gold. For the 4th season of the Rehab collection, the brand keeps innovating and presents its first handcuffs which allow for the first time to wear the Rehab pieces on the wrist. In January 2015, fob Paris will present its first wrist watches models in the context of the Fashion Week, before their official launch during Baselworld 2015.

The second collection Echoes, is in fact the first episode of the trilogy. It will tell the story of the Rehab collection’s conception. Commercialized from 2015, this collection will be accompanied by the launch of the brand new creation, the wrist watch. The third collection, post-Rehab, will be commercialized in 2016.

Thanks to its special approach to watchmaking, fob Paris attracts many artists and designers’ attention. The brand especially collaborated with three of them and the encounter between the different universes in which each one evolves gave birth to unique models.

fob Paris associated with the designer Delphine-Charlotte Parmentier to create a limited edition of the Rehab watch. Today, she has her own team in its Parisian workshop and makes elegant, moderns and sophisticated pieces in a universe of avant-garde jewels. It is in this spirit that she revisited the Rehab watch: the case and the mask have been engraved and worked with enamel, and the chain is worked with Swarovski elements.

The brand also associated with the designer artist Erik Halley to create a series of exceptional pieces envisioned as 3 tracks. The first series, “Time Lapse” is composed of 3 handcuffs in black satin and pink gold which embody femininity through a conceptual and expressive design. Each handcuff displays an elegant Rehab watch to give birth to a modern, original and precious accessory.

Finally, fob Paris and the young Parisian designer Gaspard Hex collaborated to create a Rehab watch limited edition, the Rehab 40 HEX. Solid silver, signature of the young designer atypical style, is the predominant material of this model, conferring it an animal and salvage side. Carved from the block, silver takes shape of claws which embrace the watch. The 40 or 50 mm oxidized solid silver case emphasizes the strong character of this piece. Crafted by hand by Gaspard Hex, each piece is a unique one.
