The Swiss Manufacture introduces 5 new chronographs with perpetual calendars, but also a new
annual calendar chronograph, and also a brand new version of its legendary Nautilus model.
Two new steel chronographs
Patek Philippe unveiled the chronograph model and the Nautilus Chronograph Time Travel during the
press conference of the first day of BaselWorld 2014.
La “Maison” Patek Philippe produced a new stainless steel model inspired by the previous Annual
Calendar Chronograph (Ref. 5960/1A-001).
This Chronograph was launched for the first time in 2006 with a platinum version.
Patek Philippe is not well-known for making stainless steel watches, except for their sporty
collections such as Nautilus and Aquanaut models. Thus, the new yearly calendar containing the
automatic caliber CH 28-520 IRM QA 24 will certainly tickle the curiosity of many Patek aficionados.
The very masculine dial gives an impression of depth thanks to the black color on the hour markers
placed around the chronograph. The black color is also used on hours and minutes facets (coated
with Super – LumiNova) on the 12 hours counter hand but also the reserve.
A bright red signal is located on the central chronograph hand and on the 60 minutes counter hand.
To complete the look, the Ref. 5960/1A Annual Calendar Chronograph watch is equipped with a
folding clasp bracelet in stainless steel.
You can acquire this beautiful timepiece for the amount of $ 54,800!
A reissued classic
Another newcomer in the family of sporting luxury watches is the Patek Philippe Nautilus
Chronograph Time Travel watch (ref. 5990/1A-001). This new issue is a modern interpretation of a
classic Patek Philippe modelaunched in 1976. It combines for the first time a chronograph and a dual
The two markers adjust the time zone. They are also perfectly integrated at 9 am on the side of the
case to maintain the contours of the classic case of the Nautilus. Patek Philippe artisans also moved
the two chronograph push-button closer to the crown to achieve a greater easiness in their use.
The new automatic movement is the CH 28-520 C FUS Caliber. It can be admired through the
sapphire glass of the case. A bracelet with folding clasp in stainless steel rounds off the whole.
Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5990/1A will be sold for a price of $ 57.300. In addition to these two new chronographs, Patek Philippe has also launched several models of
timepieces with a perpetual calendar complication.
