In 1856, the Swiss watchmaker Eterna brought a major revolution in the modern watchmaking: the

ball-bearing assisted rotational movement. A technical advance that helped establishing the brand’s

international reputation.

This is a renewed version that Eterna offers today: the 1948 Legacy

A classic watch at the time of modernity

It is a tribute to the watch launched in 1948: the Eterna brand has chosen to relaunch with a more

modern design but with unchanged technical performances.

This revisited model is distinguished by a stainless steel case of 41.5 mm and a rose gold bezel

matched to the crown. The dimensions have been redesigned to give the watch a more

contemporary look. The reading of time is simple thanks to curved index, golden hands and a large

date display at 3 o’clock. The horns are curved and faceted. It complements a brown leather alligator

strap and rose gold folding buckle

The new Eterna Legacy 1948 is equipped with automatic winding 3030 caliber made with the ball

bearing movement similar to the original model. Lovers of fine watchmaking can admire the

movement beating through the transparent sapphire crystal

The 1948 Legacy timepiece is a tribute to the historical model that revolutionized modern

watchmaking. That is why the Eterna brand chose today to bring a new version to the younger

generations and thus let their footprints in time.

Two versions of the Legacy 1948 are now available: a steel and 18K rose gold model at € 7,550, and

another full steel priced at € 4,950.
