A chronographic watch in honour of the great racing driver Tazio Nuvolari

Recently unveiled by the watchmaker Eberhard & Co, the new Eberhard Tazio Nuvolari Vanderbilt Cup is a tri-compax pushbutton chronographic watch boasting a vintage design. The watch is available in steel or in pink gold and pays tribute to the racing driver Tazio Nuvolari’s Long Island win in 1936, which was one of his most celebrated victories.

The new Eberhard & Co chronographic watch: a work of supreme craftsmanship

The Eberhard Tazio Nuvolari Vanderbilt Cup watch offers a number of delicate features designed with great precision: the timepiece has a hinged case back, on which is engraved the tortoise that would come to be Tazio Nuvolari’s emblem. The racing driver’s initials are also inscribed on the case back, where there is even space for a personalised monogram.

A little technological gem

Inspired by the pushbutton chronographic watches designed by Eberhard & Co in the 1920s and 30s, the Eberhard Tazio Nuvolari Vanderbilt Cup watch is home to a mechanical self-winding movement, as well as a tachymeter base 1000 and a hinged double case back which is opened by means of a vertical sliding pusher.
