I personally love the power reserve complication…
Besides the obvious convenient aspect, I think it’s a way to give more “life” to a watch by the imperceptible mouvement the hand makes up or down, and at the same time it makes seeable on the dial the very heart of a mechanical watch.

Blancpain has re-thought the concept of power reserve, putting it on the back of the watch (ok, this is not all new), but for the first time directly on the rotor, the very piece that produces the energy when you wear it day to day.

As it was not a challenge already hard enough (really ? just thinking of how they managed to deal with the fully loaded spring situation gives me headaches…), they decided that the power reserve should always look the same, whatever the position of the rotor may be…
