The new watch AMVOX2 Transponder has recently been unveiled and is the result of an exclusive
partnership between the British car brand Aston Martin and the Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre.

This new chronograph offers a new option for owners of Vantage, DB9 Vanquish and other DB9
models: the possibility to open from a distance any model of Aston Martin car.
Being a combination of mechanics and electronics, this new and original timepiece features a quite
special mechanism. It includes a mechanical self-winding movement: the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber
751E. This caliber has a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 65 hours. The
watch is water resistant up to 50 meters and the sapphire glass covers up the entire mechanism.
This watch adopts a very luxurious style, with a 44mm titanium case inlaid with forty-one rubies! The
new integrated option in this AMVOX2 Transponder is of course the function of door locking and
unlocking from a distance for Aston Martin cars. This function has been integrated into the
watchcase so that the owner can control the doors of the car, by touching the sapphire crystal of the
The first AMVOX2 model was developed in 2006, only for Aston Martin DB9 models. But the new
AMVOX2 Transponder will work with all the latest models of the car brand. However, the key of the
car is still necessary in order to start the engine of the Aston Martin.
We can notice another detail: the unlocking of the   with only the contact of the
sapphire crystal gives the same sensation to the driver as starting the engine by using the start &
stop button. It is a perfect interaction between car manufacturing and modern watchmaking.
The AMVOX Transponder watch is available from now on in shops with a calf leather strap and priced
at € 24,200.
