Chopard chose to develop for this event a quite new range of Grand Prix de Monaco Historique watches, including a brand new chronograph.

This new chronograph of the Grand Prix collection unveils a renovated look, with an enlarged diameter of 44.5 mm and a dial also revisited. The special element on this model is certainly a new color code, highlighting the bright yellow.

Chopard has chosen to make a model that fits all situations and that fits to pilots needs. Although the design looks very solid and durable, it is still quite handy and keeps a vital lightness for the car driver.

The L.U.C 1963 watch

This model unveiled last January by Chopard is one of the most anticipated chronographs of the year. Chopard has decided to design a simple and elegant watch, which combines both classic look and very contemporary details.

What is the main purpose of this?

“To give the most accurate, clearer and more beautiful time”, according to Chopard.

The LUC 1963 is a tribute to the Haute Horlogerie.

It is certified to COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer controler) but also the “Poinçons de Genève”, which shows the hard work of the craftsmen masters of the Manufacture. This timepiece combines elegance and a big size: a 44mm diameter case, with the surrounds in 18k rose gold.

Chopard has chosen to rework each element as it was: small seconds at 9 o’clock, the dauphine hands, black Roman numerals and minute rail.  It is inspired from the most historic chronometers.

At last, the Manufacture offers a manual winding mechanism, with the LUC Calibre 63.01, which also respects the watchmaking tradition.

Collectors must hurry to acquire this piece of High watchmaking, only 50 models will be sold.
